Knots: A Scout Skill

KNOT-TYING has long been a part of the Scouting program — for good reasons. It promotes discipline and focus, and it teaches useful skills that can be used immediately. Most people can tie just one knot (the “overhand”); many Scouts know more than a dozen.

ABOUT US >

At Troop 208, we are committed to the ideals in the scout oath and law. Scouting teaches traits like leadership, kindness, and loyalty. Scouting provides experiences that lead to career-interests and life-long hobbies. In BSA, scouts also learn the value of service. They put thoughts into action to make a difference. With some guidance from the adult leaders, the scouts plan, organize and lead all troop activities. Troop 208 helps build our community's future leaders, by encouraging their leadership skills today.
